Step 1 : Winter is coming

I had a try at making some GS fur.

I am, well, torn apart between thinking it looks good and it looks awkward. Let me read your thoughts on this please :

I eventually cut it in two, as you may notice.

The bottom right part will be added some claws

What do you think ? I think it could be improved but I don't know in what ways ...

Please let me know your C&C  :)

  1. Honestly? I think it's a good first go, but it would benefit from being neatened up - try to make clearer, triangular "clumps" of hair - it's the GW style...

    from my blog might help?

but look at the models you have around you that have fur, you will see the GW style is a triangular lump, with an indent in the middle, and that the triangular lumps will have a common direction or flow.

you;re almost there, but you have a few visible toolmarks and your edges are a bit "area of greenstuff ends here" try to pull those "tongues" of
GS our over the edge and leave an uneven surface.

dont get me wrong, i'm not "pro" at this, but ive been throguh where you are now :)
